This exciting day is more than just a game - it's a chance to make a difference in the lives

of individuals and families dealing with Sickle Cell Disease in Central Pennsylvania.

Start Your Day Early

7:00 AM: Get ready to kick off the day bright and early. Begin your day with the registration process, meet fellow supporters, and get prepared for a day on the greens.

8:00 AM: Prepare for the 'shotgun start' and feel the anticipation as you set out on the beautiful grounds of Dauphin Highlands Golf Course. Enjoy a round of golf while you engage in friendly competition, all for an excellent cause.

Celebrate and Connect

1:30 PM: After the golfing activities, join us for lunch and a memorable ceremony featuring live music and exciting giveaways. It's a chance to relax, unwind, connect with the community, and, most importantly, reflect on why we're here.

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a hereditary blood disorder that affects thousands across the nation, yet it remains one of the least funded diseases.

According to the CDC, the prevalence of Sickle Cell Trait is widespread: 1 in 333 white children, 1 in 100 Latinos, and 1 in 13 African Americans are born with this trait. When two people with the trait have a child, there's a 1 in 4 chance that the baby will have Sickle Cell Disease.

As an independent nonprofit organization, the South Central PA Sickle Cell Council has been diligently working to support those affected by SCD, with minimal government funding since the COVID-19 pandemic.

We believe everyone has the power to make a difference, and your
participation in the SCD Charity Golf Event is a significant step in
that direction. Your support and generosity will aid in raising
awareness, funding research, and most importantly, helping families in Central Pennsylvania battling this disease every day.
